About Your Side Quest

You’ve probably been told to “just try harder,” “be more social,” or “stop overthinking it.” But what if the problem wasn’t you, just the game you were expected to play?

At Your Side Quest, we don’t aim to fix people.
We support players.
Whether you’re navigating life with ADHD, autism, anxiety, burnout, or just feel like you’ve never quite fit the mould, you’re not broken. You’re on a different path. And every hero needs support on the road.

We provide one-to-one social gaming support with real humans (not AI or bots), built around connection, curiosity, and care. Our sessions might look like playing Minecraft, exploring co-op games, or building a virtual world together, but underneath the pixels, we’re working on trust, communication, regulation, and real-life skills.

We’re not therapists. We’re trained support workers who understand how powerful gaming can be when it’s used on purpose.

Think of us like the NPC who gives you the map, the tools, and a side quest that changes everything.

Aron

Founder • Support Worker • Gamer Guide

“I built this because I’ve lived the systems that didn’t work, and I knew something better was possible.”

Aron’s a trained support worker and therapist-in-training with a background in the military and complex behavioural work. He understands the barriers neurodivergent and marginalised people face, because he’s faced them too.

Aron doesn’t just bring experience; he brings heart, humour, and a deep belief that gaming can be a lifeline.

He works 1:1 with clients, always prioritising consent, emotional safety, and the joy of small wins.

Favourite Games: Roblox, Sackboy, Fortnite, Hotwheels and Minecraft.
Known For: Compassion, gaming strategy, and making people feel safe fast

Jenn

Co-Founder • Therapeutic Coach • Systems Wizard

“Everyone deserves to be met with curiosity, not judgement.”

Jenn brings over a decade of experience in coaching, mentoring, and therapeutic support. She’s neurodivergent herself, and has lived through disability, trauma, and the emotional cost of trying to “fit in” to systems that weren’t designed with her in mind.

At Your Side Quest, she supports the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the service safe, ethical, and emotionally intelligent, from safeguarding processes to content to parent/carer communication.

Secret Power: Turning chaos into systems that feel human

Why We Do This

Because we know what it’s like to feel like the only one.
Because we’ve seen support that worked, and plenty that didn’t.
Because no one should have to mask or battle just to feel seen.

We created Your Side Quest to be what we wish we had, a place where support feels like an adventure, not an assessment.

We don’t fix.
We walk beside.

Who We Support

  • Neurodivergent young people who want connection without the pressure
  • Ex-military clients rebuilding identity and confidence
  • Adults navigating burnout, overwhelm, or big life transitions
  • Parents and carers looking for meaningful ways to support their loved ones
Whether you’re here for social skills, mental wellbeing, motivation, or just not feeling so alone, we’re in your party.

What Makes Us Different

  • Neuroaffirming approach - No masking. No “fixing.” Just real support for who you are.
  • Gaming with intention – Our sessions are structured, goal-focused, and fun.
  • Direct access – No long waits. No gatekeeping. Just reach out and we’ll talk.
  • Personal connection – You’ll work with a consistent support worker who gets it.

Our Mission

It is to make support feel like a side quest, not a punishment.
We believe everyone deserves a place where they can build confidence, level up in their own time, and be seen as themselves, no filters, no performance, just real connection.

We Know Our Role

At Your Side Quest, we work within our scope of competence.
We’re not therapists, and we don’t pretend to be.

We’re support workers trained in emotional regulation, communication, and social engagement through gaming. We receive regular supervision, continually develop our skills, and work to the highest standards of safe, person-centred support.

If, during our work together, it becomes clear that therapy could be helpful, we won’t leave you guessing. We can refer you to a trusted therapist who uses gaming in their practice, so you get the right help at the right time.
We’re here to walk beside you, and to know when to pass the torch.
